Role and Responsibilities

This role requires top-tier technical expertise in quality management systems and driving quality roadmaps. The Senior General Quality Specialist will provide guidance and mentorship to teams, lead technical discussions, develop training strategies, and manage complex supplier relationships. They will understand contributions from various domains, operate at module and function levels, translate customer requirements into quality improvements, and build networks with stakeholders across ASML. They will also engage tactically and strategically with suppliers, negotiate, and lead major quality initiatives to foster innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control, Assurance & Compliance

  • Manage quality projects, coordinate teams, and apply analytical methods to assess quality.
  • Lead risk management activities, identify risks, and implement preventive measures.
  • Investigate non-conformances and drive process improvements.
  • Mentor junior staff in quality methodologies.

Expert Knowledge, Advice & Capability Building

  • Manage training projects and develop educational materials.
  • Provide expert advice on procedures and standards, resolve complex queries, and guide others.
  • Mentor staff in training delivery and represent the organization in industry forums.

Procedures, Standards Development & Adherence

  • Implement and promote Q&E procedures, standards, and tools.

Performance & Data Analytics

  • Manage data analysis projects, interpret quality data, and apply statistical methods for improvement.
  • Mentor staff in data analysis techniques.

Documenting & Reporting

  • Oversee documentation and reporting, and present quality reports to management.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

  • Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis projects across teams.
  • Ensure lessons learned are integrated to prevent recurrence of issues.

Process Improvement

  • Coordinate process improvement initiatives, analyze bottlenecks, and lead sustainable change efforts.

Manage Customer Expectations

  • Handle customer interactions regarding quality issues and participate in audits.
  • Work with departments to improve customer satisfaction using negotiation skills.

Culture & Community

  • Promote a culture of quality and safety, encourage employee engagement, and participate in community events.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, influence decisions, and reflect on feedback for continuous improvement.

Strategy & Policy

  • Implement functional strategies, ensure compliance, and contribute to policy development.

Business Planning

  • Develop and propose business plans aligned with strategy, translate targets into actionable plans, and manage deviations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; majors in electrical, electromechanical, or chemical engineering preferred.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in quality expertise, including supplier/manufacturing quality or methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Spotfire, Minitab, JMP) and in a global tech environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Strong execution power with a hands-on approach to drive change.
  • Proven ability to apply root cause analysis and develop solutions systematically.
  • Influence, inspire, and engage professionals at various levels.

Other Information

  • Position may require up to 10% travel.
