We are looking for a talented Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team to lead the Studio's media applications and shared services. This key leadership role involves developing and managing software solutions and product strategies for our B2B applications supporting media fulfillment as part of the Studio's content supply chain. Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and People Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and technical excellence. Provide performance feedback, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, and support career development. Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.
  2. Technical Oversight and Delivery: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-quality software solutions. Ensure best practices in software engineering, including coding standards, architecture design, and system reliability. Collaborate with technical leads and senior engineers to drive technical strategy and decision-making.
  3. Platform Expertise: Demonstrate expert knowledge in AWS platform tools and technologies. Leverage these tools effectively to build and maintain high-quality applications.
  4. Technology and Business Alignment: Balance platform technologies with specific business needs, ensuring technology solutions align with business strategies and goals.
  5. Project and Process Management: Work with stakeholders and product managers to align engineering efforts with business objectives. Drive agile methodologies, sprint planning, and efficient development cycles. Manage project timelines, dependencies, and risks to ensure on-time delivery.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with other engineering teams, security, and infrastructure to ensure system integrity and reliability. Promote shared services, reusable components, and best practices. Align with leadership on roadmaps, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives.
  7. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical audiences.
  8. Innovation and Technical Strategy: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies. Encourage experimentation, innovation, and learning. Lead technical initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 8 years of industry experience focusing on application and shared services development.
  3. Extensive experience with AWS platform tools and technologies.
  4. Proven leadership and management experience in software development teams.
  5. Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  6. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of the digital media supply chain, including planning, ordering, and fulfillment, preferably within a studio or media organization.
  2. AWS or related technology certifications.
  3. Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Compensation:

The hiring range in Glendale, CA is $167,700 to $224,900 annually. Actual offers depend on internal equity, geographic region, experience, and other factors. Benefits include potential bonuses, long-term incentives, and comprehensive health and financial benefits.
