Salary: $18 - $20 per hour
Shift: First
Work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
Education: High School

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop composite molds and assembly fixtures to support prototyping.
2. Design and manage the fabrication of components and fixtures.
3. Select the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used.
4. Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform to predetermined specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors.
5. Assist with the improvement and refinement of tooled pieces and tooling processes.
6. Work with QC, engineering, and other departments to communicate challenges and requirements.
7. Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area, and comply with safety standards and regulations.

Essential Functions

1. Working in a smoke-free environment.
2. Wearing steel toe shoes.
3. Working in a non-temperature controlled environment.
4. Manual lifting up to 50lbs.
5. Standing for 8 hours at one time.

Skills

1. Designing parts (2 years of experience is required).
2. Tooling parts (2 years of experience is required).
3. Fabrication.
4. Basic mathematical arithmetic.
5. Composite tooling design (2 years of experience is required).
6. Blueprint Reading.
7. Schematic reading.
8. Proficiency with computers.
9. Standard drafting software.
10. Model prototype.
11. Mold surfaces for tooling.

Qualifications

1. Years of experience: 2 years.
2. Experience level: Experienced.
