The Assembler position involves supporting our Production Manager, Sales Directors, and others. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the duties outlined below:

Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety and quality procedures as defined by the company.
• Operate and maintain optical coating machines.
• Install and remove optical components in coating machines.
• Handle solvents and chemicals following all PPE requirements.
• Work predominantly in a clean room environment (80%).
• Work 12-hour shifts as required.
• Maintain equipment, including operating glass beading glove boxes and installing or replacing coating hardware using power grinders and hand tools.
• Follow detailed work instructions accurately.
• Learn to operate and monitor coating parameters within 6 months with mentorship.
• Load and unload metal tooling manually and mechanically into the machine.
• Handle delicate optics carefully to avoid damage.
• Interpret data accurately and make informed decisions.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Meet productivity standards set by management.

Prerequisites / Skills / Experience:

• Valid driver's license and successful background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work within an ITAR facility.
• Ability to achieve government classified clearance (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Energetic personality with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
• Innovative mindset to develop new methods for improving functionality and efficiency.
• Proven success in maintaining quality control and data management.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, software, and practices.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for updates and progress reports to upper management.
