The Regional Clinical Sales Manager (RCSM) provides oversight and direction to the Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) team and collaborates with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to prioritize business-focused clinical activities that advance the sales process, driving the adoption of the Teleflex Vascular product portfolio into clinical practice, in addition to clinically supporting the safe and effective use of Teleflex products.
The RCSM manages direct reports in the clinical sales organization by providing talent development, coaching, performance reviews, disciplinary action, succession planning and various administrative functions of a people manager.
This field-based position is actively engaged in all stages of the sales process, including account vetting, clinical champion development, solution positioning, product evaluations and implementations, live case coverage and coordinates the required training to ensure the safe and effective use of all Teleflex Vascular products. Working closely with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Directors, the RCSM optimizes the customer experience by providing in-person and virtual classroom training, bedside support during trials and implementations, and by developing customer loyalty through clinical partnership opportunities.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager on a regular basis to ensure activities are strategically aligned with regional priorities and objectives.
- Work in conjunction with Regional Sales Manager to prioritize clinical training programs for customers, sales representatives, and CSS members within the region.
- Identify and expand customer base through networking and following-up activities at account, local, regional, and national levels.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Clinical Medical Affairs on key projects and initiatives.
- Maintain professional licensure and credentials, where applicable.
- Provide feedback to Marketing and executive leadership teams on product releases, efficacy of available tools, competitive intel, post-market surveillance, promotional and clinical training programs.
- Participate in educational, scientific congresses and promotional activities at all identified local, regional and national exhibitions as dictated by the business need.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the CSS team in the region.
- Coach and develop CSS direct reports during scheduled field rides, one-on-one meetings, and bedside training.
- Partner with sales team to support trials and implementations of Teleflex products.
- Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews for direct reports (professional development and business objectives).
- Budget / expense report management for T&E and clinical training support.
- Ensure the CSS team is meeting defined goals and expectations consistent with Teleflex's Core Values.
- Identify strong clinical champions and references that will advocate for the Vascular product portfolio.
- Effectively utilize CRM platform to identify and prioritize regional clinical needs, schedule coverage, and request clinical programs and/or outside clinical support.
- Schedule and lead Regional CSS Team calls.
- Assist the CSS team in developing/managing training schedules.
- Responsible for identifying and hiring available talent for open CSS positions within the region.
- Responsible for documenting direct report performance as needed based on needs improvement.
- Assist with New Hire Training needs outlined by the training department.
- Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex's Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Attend national clinical calls to share/discuss best practices, trends, and clinical team needs.
Education / Experience Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Healthcare Provider with a minimum of 5 years patient care experience in critical care area and/or vascular access specialty (i.e., Vascular Access Team (inpatient, mobile, travel), Critical Care, ED, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, etc.).
- 3 years with direct leadership/people management experience preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Possess a valid driver's license, own and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
- Carry detail bag weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Able to stand or walk in numerous hospitals or at meetings for 8 β 12 hours per day, up to five (5) days per week.
Desired Experience, Certifications & Professional Affiliations
- 2+ years of Medical Device Industry experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a business environment.
- Professional Development background including curriculum creation.
- Advanced Certification in Vascular Access and/or Critical Care (i.e., CRNI, VA-BC, CCRN, CEN, etc.).
- Professional Affiliations and Associations such as APIC, INS, AVA, ENA, AACN.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $130,000-$160,000 (inclusive of commissions) however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Commissions will also vary depending on individual performance. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
