As General Manager/Strategy & Operations Principal, you will manage a first-of-its-kind, intermodal transit service while gaining exposure to a fast-paced tech company. This role involves building and managing operations, entrepreneurship, and business development. We hope you are up for it!

Location Requirements

• This role requires someone to be based locally in either Seattle or Los Angeles.

What You'll Do:

• Manage the on-site daily operations of Via's service for our partner.
• Prioritize operational issues, serve as a real-time contact for drivers and dispatchers, and develop creative scheduling solutions for a 24/7 team.
• Manage and mentor dispatchers and shift managers.
• Develop relationships with drivers, customers, community leaders, and local organizations.
• Coordinate with Via's senior management and external partners.
• Develop team metrics, monitor KPIs, and report weekly results.
• Analyze data and reports to improve operations, allocate resources effectively, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Lead, coach, and develop an engaged team of drivers, fostering a collaborative environment.

Who You Are:

• An experienced operator with 6-10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree.
• Locally based in Seattle or Los Angeles.
• A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments with high responsibility.
• A tactful communicator who finds the right tone in every situation.
• Committed to providing a world-class customer service experience.
• Detail-oriented, action-driven, and autonomous.
• An exceptional leader who motivates and develops teams.
• Flexible, adaptable, and quick to respond to change.
• Proven track record of team management and development (3-5 years minimum).
• Effective multitasker, able to delegate, prioritize, and take responsibility.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range: $130,000 - $165,000 per year, based on experience and skills.
