Responsibilities

Our team is a vital part of Keysight's central research and development organization, Keysight Laboratories. You will join a high-performance R&D team primarily based in Santa Rosa, CA, that develops instrument infrastructure components involving FPGAs, GPUs, Ethernet, SmartNICs, embedded CPUs, multi-core CPUs, and high-performance PCIe interconnects. Your role will involve researching, creating, validating, and implementing instrument infrastructure IP used by other Keysight instrument development teams and measurement solutions worldwide.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Engineering or a closely related field; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience beyond a bachelor's degree.
• Strong HDL (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog) development skills, capable of developing, debugging, and troubleshooting at multiple system layers, from FPGA simulation to software driver layer.
• Experience in designing and developing complex high-performance systems, with deep knowledge of interconnect (PCIe) and network (Ethernet) technologies.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming in C++ and scripting languages such as Python and TCL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive problem solver with a positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for designing innovative solutions to challenging problems.
• Familiarity with test and measurement applications, instrument architectures, Embedded Linux, SoC (FPGA/ARM), and distributed/edge computing is a plus.

California pay range: MIN $132,000.00 - MAX $220,000.00 per year. Note: Pay ranges vary by region for other locations.

This role is eligible for the Keysight Results Bonus Program.
