Position Overview:

SoundThinking is looking for a passionate, experienced professional familiar with the nuances of law enforcement agencies to serve as a trusted partner and consultant in driving value for our customers. The ideal candidate will have high interpersonal communication skills and the ability to embrace cutting-edge technologies that the SoundThinking SafetySmart platform offers.

  1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with assigned SoundThinking accounts, building relationships with staff from front line to high-ranking leaders.
  2. Partner with customers to develop outcome measures from the use of SoundThinking technologies.
  3. Coordinate and lead Annual Account Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews as needed.
  4. Educate and influence customers to adopt operational best practices.
  5. Brief city and law enforcement leadership on outcomes resulting from SafetySmart Platform use to validate business case value for contracting.
  6. Partner with entities such as ATF, Police Foundation, Urban Institute, and IACP as a subject matter expert (SME) and seek collaboration opportunities.
  7. Support the Sales Team during sales engagements by sharing law enforcement experience and case-solving strategies.
  8. Participate in and promote positive Net Promoter Score (NPS) strategies.
  9. Collaborate with the Customer Support department to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  10. Act as the internal customer advocate for product and service requests.
  11. Work collaboratively across SoundThinking to represent customer and community perspectives.
  12. Availability for extensive travel, approximately 50% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Extensive law enforcement or analytical experience, with leadership experience at the command level preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders, including political and community leaders.
  • Ability to build relationships at multiple levels, from frontline users to executives, with strong empathy for customer challenges and goals.
  • Team-oriented, resourceful, with critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, focused on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.

Hybrid Workplace

SoundThinking follows a hybrid schedule for employees living within 50 miles of one of our offices in Fremont, CA; Tucson, AZ; Washington, D.C.; or Iselin, NJ. Employees are expected to work onsite three days per week, with specific days depending on the office location.

The salary range is a good faith estimate at the time of publication and may change. The offered salary may vary based on education, experience, and geographic location.
