The City of Healdsburg is looking for enthusiastic Recreation Leaders to help create fun, meaningful, and engaging experiences for our community! We are currently hiring for Recreation Leader I-III positions within our Community Services Department. These roles offer the opportunity to support a variety of programs, including after-school activities and youth sports — all while making a positive impact in the lives of local families.
After School Program: Monday-Friday, 2pm - 6pm
Sports: Shifts vary between 5:30 pm - 10:00pm
Recreation Leaders earn a salary range of $16.50 - $21.00 per hour. This is a non-benefited, part-time position, no more than 1000 hours per fiscal year.

Under general direction provides support to recreation programming and facility staff in the operations of assigned recreation facility(ies) and programs. The Recreation Leader works under direction from a Recreation Coordinator. Work assignments also may be made by higher-level recreation classifications. Experience
Recreation Leader I: No professional experience is required.
Recreation Leader II: Equivalent to 1,000 hours of responsible experience similar to Recreation Leader I.
Recreation Leader III: Equivalent to two years of responsible experience similar to Recreation Leader II.
Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license during the course of employment.
Recreation leaders working with youth groups must be certified free from communicable tuberculosis according to California State Law and provide the City of Healdsburg proof of examination within the past two years. Proof of recertification is required on a four-year cycle. Incumbents must be willing to work a flexible schedule, depending on program needs, including working evenings, weekends and holidays. Duties require sufficient mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment; vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Lift up to 40 pounds.
