Definition
Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Monitor (QAM) – Person Centered Liaison works as part of the Quality Assurance Team and is responsible for assessing, supporting, and evaluating the regional center's vendor service providers to ensure compliance with Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Final Rule, which requires utilization of person-centered services.
Nature of Work
The QAM – Person Centered Liaison must have reliable transportation and be able to independently and regularly travel locally and out-of-town. This position requires travel throughout NBRC's 3-county service area. Excellent oral and written skills are essential, including the ability to clearly and firmly convey agency standards and policies.
Examples of Work
The Quality Assurance Monitor – Person Centered Liaison is responsible for consultation, evaluation, and monitoring of support services, including provider training, review of program designs, facility and program reviews, and follow-up on investigations of alleged program problems.
Minimum Education and Experience
Completion of a Master's Degree in education, public administration, social work, or a related field; or two years' experience in a position at a Regional Center involved with program evaluation and monitoring; or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four years' experience in the above areas may substitute for a Master's Degree. Minimum education requirement may not be waived.

Salary Range
$66,012 – $72,792 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
