Your Mission:

As the Director of Compliance, you'll be at the forefront of our commitment to excellence. You'll oversee compliance across all lines of service, ensuring we meet county and state licensing requirements, maintain CARF accreditation, and adhere to all funding requirements.

What You'll Do:

  1. Lead Compliance Efforts: Oversee and maintain full compliance with county and state licensing requirements, CARF accreditation, and all funding requirements.
  2. Collaborate and Coordinate: Work with external partners and internal teams to ensure seamless implementation of services and compliance measures.
  3. Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain a CQI plan to ensure quality oversight in each program.
  4. Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise compliance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  5. Emergency Management: Coordinate with the Facilities Director to maintain an up-to-date Emergency Management Plan and oversee training for Janus staff.
  6. Policy Development: Lead the compliance team in rolling out work with key leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols.
  7. Contract Support: Assist the CEO and CFO with contract applications, renewals, and amendments, ensuring compliance measures are integrated and modifications are implemented within programs.
  8. CARF Reviews: Prepare for and take lead responsibility for CARF reviews, ensuring all standards are met and maintained.
  9. Committee Leadership: Chair the CQI Committee and appoint chairs of all compliance-related committees.
  10. EHR Management: Oversee the management of Janus users in Avatar EHR, including activation, role management, deactivation, and workflow changes. Coordinate EHR training for all employees, including the implementation of new materials and regulations.
  11. Training and Development: Collaborate with the compliance team and program managers to ensure relevant staff training is provided, enabling them to work to the top of their scope and maintain full compliance with county and state licensing requirements.
  12. Process Improvement: Engage in using Conscious Leadership and other process improvement models, leading with empathy and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  13. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Clinical Directors, and IT to ensure alignment in goals and workflows, fostering a collaborative environment.
  14. Other duties as assigned

Pay & Benefits

At Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $105,000 and $120,000 annually and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.

As part of our team, you'll frequently move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, ensuring everything is in the right place for our various needs. You'll also have the opportunity to stay active by occasionally moving around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and more.

Requirements

  1. Education: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSW), or Professional Clinical Counseling (PCC). Prelicensure candidates are acceptable, provided they have active associate license numbers with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
  2. Experience: Successful employment in DMC program oversight.
  3. Skills:
    1. Ability to develop quality control systems.
    2. Ability to coordinate managers, supervisors, functions, programs, and departments to successfully meet all compliance goals.
    3. Strong organizational and time management skills.
    4. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
    5. Proficient in using electronic health record systems (EHR), particularly Avatar EHR.
    6. Familiarity with data management systems and software applications relevant to compliance and quality assurance.
  4. Other Requirements:
    1. Driving is required to attend required trainings, meetings, or fulfill other responsibilities defined in this role.
