We're partnering with an innovative AI-driven platform to find a hands-on Head of Engineering who's excited to build, lead, and scale a world-class software team. You'll lead all things engineering, from architecture to execution, and help shape the future of hardware design software.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leadership & Team Building

• Hire, onboard, and mentor a high-performing engineering team
• Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Serve as the key decision-maker and point of contact for all engineering initiatives
• Drive performance using KPIs, OKRs, and sprint planning

Technical Execution

• Own the entire software stack (PostgreSQL, Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
• Design scalable system architectures and tackle infrastructure issues (e.g., traffic spikes, system reliability, API performance)
• Write and review code, technical specs, and development plans
• Guide sprint planning and drive velocity through thoughtful execution
• Track and improve engineering and performance metrics
• Contribute directly to development efforts where needed

Strategic Planning

• Align engineering roadmaps with product and business goals
• Proactively identify scaling bottlenecks and long-term infrastructure needs
• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of all systems
• Work cross-functionally with product and leadership to prioritize impactful projects

What You Bring

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years leading engineering teams
• Strong back-end expertise (Python, Django, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Heroku, Azure, AWS)
• Experience building and maintaining microservices and RESTful APIs
• Architectural experience designing scalable systems

Nice to Haves

• Experience with desktop app development
• Familiarity with AI/ML or CAD tools
• Experience with Eletron.js
