The Programs Director is responsible for all resident activities and excursions for both independent and assisted living residents at a WellQuest Living community. The Programs Director is responsible for all programming, organizing, scheduling, budgeting, promotion, facilitating and directing the overall operations of the activities and excursions. Aside from doctor visits or appointments, shopping trips, church attendance, and other regularly scheduled departures from the community for which the community provides transportation, excursions should be planned weekly with the intention of exploration, creativity, enjoyment, and outings to restaurants should only be planned once a month apart from pairing it with an excursion. All responsibilities must be completed in accordance with current standards, guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Executive Director to assure that an on-going program of activities, excursions and events are designed to meet the interests, desires and needs of the residents. Hire, evaluate, coordinate, monitor performance, and supervise department staff in accordance with company policy. Communicate with the Executive Director about staff evaluations, merit pay increases, reprimands, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Reports to: Executive Director.
