Job Description

Peterson Cat has a need for a Store Administrative Assistant at our Santa Rosa, CA location.

SUMMARY

The Store Administrative Assistant receives customer phone communication, walk-in customers and visitors, and directs them to the appropriate department and/or person in a professional and timely manner. The Store Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to other departments, including Service and Sales as directed by needs of these groups.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Reception / Front Desk Duties:

  • Treat all internal and external customers with courtesy and respect.
  • Use professional terminology and tone to communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Present self professionally and adhere to Peterson dress code standards.
  • Keep updated on department and personnel changes to minimize customer frustrations and to direct customers and callers swiftly to the correct person the first time.
  • Communicate with site personnel to keep updated on who is on site during the workday.
  • Answer all incoming calls at switchboard, directing to the appropriate person, taking messages, and/or transferring to requested person or department.
  • Greet all visiting customers and direct them to the appropriate person or department based on their needs. Maintain daily sign-in register/log.
  • Order and maintain inventory and appropriate stock level for office and other meeting supplies as assigned.
  • Run daily/weekly errands based on store needs, and at manager's request.
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.


QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED; previous reception and/or clerical experience is helpful.

The pay range for this position is: $28.00 - $32.00 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
