Overview
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is hiring Production Assemblers in our Healdsburg, California location.
The Production Assembler I assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. This role fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; and may repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

*We are on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days).
Major Position Responsibilities
- Operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.
- Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
- May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
- Keeps daily assembly production records.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.

Basic Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- Vocational/Technical Training preferred
- 0-3 years relevant experience
- General knowledge of assembly, calibration, component installation, soldering, troubleshooting, and functional testing.
- Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
Pay Range (USD)$33,495.00 - $62,205.00 annually
