DescriptionDescriptionRack & Riddle Custom Wine Services, #1 custom sparkling wine producer in the United States, is currently looking to fill a Bottling Line Lead position. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to all phases of bottling line work from set up to clean up on any of our production lines (Tirage, Disgorging, Charmat, and Still) . This position will provide leadership to others and assignment of work.Reports to: Director Of OperationsEssential Job Duties:Participates in set up and clean-up of the bottling lines.Adheres to all safety practices and company policies.Assist in the management of production and production goals.Assists with review of progress, monitoring of results and instruction.Ensures that all packaging supplies, wine and dose match work orders.Complete work orders, bottling packets and other paperwork as needed.Other tasks, in any department, as assigned by Management.Able to assist on other production lines as needed.Participates in set up and clean-up of the bottling lines.Rotates between various functions on the bottling line including those generally done by the General Line Techs, Skilled Line Techs, and Advanced Line Techs; glass dumping, bottle/label inspection, hand packing and stacking, hand casing and uncasing, transferring bottles from bins to cages.Assists will all facility clean-up activities. Uses downtime to proactively clean-up or assist other team members.Provides leadership and training to less skilled employees.Performs all levels of bottling line and equipment operations. Responds and troubleshoots error codes on all three bottling lines. Including, but not limited to: Disgorger, Filler, Wirehooder, Corker, Shaker, Washer, Neck Freezer, Case Packer, Case Sealer, Palletizer, Monoblock and Foiler.Diligently adheres to all safety practices, SOP's and company policies.Creates an environment of teamwork.Works with Cellar, Lab and Warehouse staff to ensure wine and bottling supplies are readily available and line production meets client specification.In coordination with the Maintenance team, responsible for daily post-op maintenance or changeover tasks on bottling equipment.Involve the Maintenance team and document equipment malfunctions.Identifies, communicates, and assists with the implementation of process improvement opportunities for operational efficiencies and wine quality.Maintains knowledge and understanding of hazardous material and safety procedures assuring adherence by staff.Investigates all incidents of personal injury, property and equipment damage, prepares and submits required reports.Assists Maintenance and QC with line set up and troubleshooting.Supports other departments (Cellar, Warehouse, ect.) as needed and assigned by Management.RequirementsJob RequirementPrevious experience on a bottling line, 7+ years' experienceForklift experience preferredMust be punctual and maintain good attendanceAbility to learn and adapt to changing conditionsAbility to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment is requiredMust be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and work at catwalk heights of 25 feetMust be able to work nights, overtime and weekendsAbility to read and understand work ordersAbility to work overtime as neededAbility to work individually and within team to achieve daily production goalsExperience with changeovers on all pieces of bottling equipment (filler, labeler, rinser, and foiler) preferredSelf-motivatedAbility to problem solve independentlyMechanical background and ability
