Essential Responsibilities and Duties


Modern Luxury is seeking an Account Executive for the Los Angeles market. This person will be primarily responsible for growing our Angeleno Magazine title, across print, digital and experiential (events) opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years media sales experience, (print sales is a plus) with a track record of hitting and exceeding sales quotas.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Develop and cultivate sales prospects in an assigned category vertical and territory. This includes cold calling and walking into businesses to introduce the brand to new potential clients.
  • Persuasively communicate Modern Luxury's offerings, competitive advantages, resources, and processes to clients and prospects through in-person sales meetings.
  • Develop multi-platform sales/marketing programs across all local titles and also convert into multi-market opportunities.
  • Maintain effective, revenue-generating relationships with client-direct, media agency, and creative agencies.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly revenue goals as outlined in the assigned sales plan.
  • Display a thorough understanding of assigned accounts' business needs and revenue potential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized, and providing clients with excellent customer service.
  • Attend industry networking events for business development.
  • Maintain a current and informative CRM database.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Participate in in-office team meetings at least once per week.


Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
  • Proficient in Google Docs; Mac experience is a plus.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations.
  • Ability to hit the ground running with a can-do attitude, and thirst for success.
  • Minimum 2 years of digital media sales experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of print advertising sales experience.
