Description:

SALARY RANGE - This position pays Minimum Wage $16.00/hour, plus Gratuity and tips. The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to the resort standards.

Essential Functions

  • Must adhere to the company's Service culture - 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
  • Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
  • Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
  • Know how to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must participate in all resort required meetings and training.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
  • Comply with Silverado Resort Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
  • Set all tables according to resort standards.
  • Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
  • Clean up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly.
  • Prepare room according to BEO and the various meal functions.
  • Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest.
  • Know the menu items for each function served and be able to give accurate descriptions and potential allergens.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.


Qualifications

  • In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.


Working Conditions and Schedule

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Medium work - Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (and/or with assistance), and/or frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures.
  • This role requires operating a golf cart.
