Oakmont Gardens is recruiting for a hospitality focused Concierge. This role is responsible for meeting and greeting residents, guests, prospective employees, suppliers, vendors, and outside service providers in a warm and professional manner on a daily basis. They are the first face someone sees when visiting our community!
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Night Shift Security Concierge:
The Night Shift Security Concierge is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, and staff and protecting Community property. Responsible for verifying the scheduled presence of all employees, and third-party contractors on the grounds.
* Makes scheduled rounds inside the building to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property.
* Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
* Develops and maintains a good working rapport with residents, family members, visitors, and personnel to assure that security procedures meet the needs of the facility.
* Assists with special security needs as they arise involving employees, visitors, and other members of the community.
* Provides written report of any community incident during the shift to community administration and contracted security company may need to be aware of.
* Reports all incidents/accidents immediately. Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions/ equipment in a timely manner. Recognizes unsafe conditions and acts upon or reports conditions to appropriate community leadership.
* Utilizes time between rounds and responding to emergent needs to monitor the front reception desk and perform administrative duties including but not limited to, updating the community census with resident transitions, managing resident emergency files maintained at the front desk, and updating resident and visitor check-in and communication systems.
* Manages night shift life-safety needs including 3rd shift fire drills and monthly fire extinguisher checks.
* Provide ongoing telephone coverage.
* Solve issues presented by residents, guests, vendors, and suppliers in a manner so that both the organizational objectives are met, as well as the individuals feel they were served appropriately. Keep difficult situations from escalating.
* Prepare maintenance work orders as requested by residents and staff
* Assist the Business Office Manager with projects/assignments.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
* Must demonstrate excellent telephone communication skills
* Ability to read, write, and understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
* Must be able to make decisions quickly and in accordance with established protocol.
* Must have or be willing to be first aid and CPR/AED trained.
* One year experience in security preferred.
Wage: $18-$20 depending on experience
Part-time: Friday & Saturday nights
