Under the direction of the Food Service Manager, performs food preparation to include baking, frying, cooking, heating, and serving duties to students and staff; maintains and cleans equipment and work area according to established sanitation standards and regulations; and, inspects food items to monitor quality and quantity.

Requirements / Qualifications

(1)Letter of Introduction or Professional Letter of Recommendation 6 months or more experience in food preparation, serving, and basic commercial kitchen activities Food Handler Certification: Certification must be accredited through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). As a Substitute/On-call employee, you can expect the work schedule and days of employment to be variable. You will NOT be a part of the bargaining unit and your employment will fall under the CA labor code regulations. This is not a permanent position/assignment and is not entitled to seniority, health & welfare, or any additional benefits a permanent position may be privileged to. Your employment is contingent on the needs of the District. We will make every attempt to request you come in within a 24-hour period, due to the nature of being on call that may not always be the case. In the case you are not able to fill-in, you will remain on the active SUB list and we will reach out on the next occasion.

All candidates must clear the following prior to hire: *TB clearance *DOJ/Fingerprint Clearance *Medical Physical Test arranged by the district
